About this print edition
In this nocturnal rendition, the Three Graces take on a more mysterious and enigmatic guise, depicted in a pose that nods to Raphael’s The Three Graces. Instead of the mythic golden apples from the Garden of the Hesperides, the figures hold oranges, symbolising temptation, prosperity, and the cyclical nature of life—concepts I’ve been heavily studying both in my work and personal journey.
The exchange of fruit in the starry night acts as a polysemic metaphor, with multiple layers of meaning.
Subtle details, such as the arrows scattered across the ground and partial glimpses of other figures at the edges of the frame, suggest a larger narrative, linking this image to others in the series.
This depiction invites viewers to immerse themselves in the story, sparking curiosity about the hidden connections and untold narratives within this world.
